2019 Highlights

POLICY
- 2019– Educator Workforce Investment Grants (EWIG) was approved by the California State Legislature to build capacity throughout the state to implement the comprehensive California EL Roadmap Policy. Legislators earmarked $10 million to fund the EWIG grants.
- CABE received one of the grants and developed the impactful Multilingual California Project (MCAP) in partnership with five county offices of education (Butte, Fresno, Orange, San Bernardino, and San Diego) and one university partner (San Diego State University).
